Music Magazine Front Cover Research 2

The consistency of this magazine is the main reason why it attracts its audience. It has maintained its recognisable colour scheme of red, black and white. By using this the magazine allows the audience to familiarise themselves with the logo of the magazine and from this attracts them more. The house style of the magazine looks very neat and crisp, presenting itself as a formal quite sophisticated magazine and attracting the audience. The effective use of the colours to this magazine are second to none. Each colour allows another colour to stand out from one another   and giving itself a real eye-catching presentation which works well in attracting the reader.

Or though partially covered the title of the magazine is not in anyway not obvious to see by the reader and is not undermined. The familiar colour of red and the recognisable font is clear for the audience to read and familiarise themselves with the cover and  therefore doesn't matter if it is covered. The colours seem symmetrical throughout the cover which appears very professional to the audience.

The image is large and covers the majority of the front cover, this shows how important the image is and how it needs to be more noticeable and gives the audience more information on what's inside the actual magazine. The implication of the image is further emphasised by it's position on the cover. This allows the cover to flow accordingly and brings out the neat presentations contained in the cover. The main image is not in any contrast with the rest of the front cover, this is a good way to attract the audience.

This magazine front cover contains the familiar conventions that most magazines have. This includes a mast head at the top of the page and the anchorage image, these are both key conventions of magazine covers. Also the barcode is included on the bottom of the cover to show the price of the magazine and the date it was released.

Even though the main attention is placed on the new band "The Last Shadow Puppets" the front cover is good at enticing the audience to the other information about the other stuff that is in the magazine around the image and advertising the magazine to attract the audeince.

The other sub text down the left hand side of the cover does well in not revealing too much about the other topics in the magazine therefore encorageing the audience to read the inside. It uses fine details of the magazines contents on what the topic is about attracting the reader.

The text used in the cover is appropriate in making the cover look professional, especially in the text that is illistrating the main image. To make the image seem important the cover uses bold text to attract the audience. As well the artists are well know so the audience should recognise them and be pursuaded to buy the magazine. Also the colour of the text will attract the audience.
